Update: LiliaChess 3.2.0.0
Winboard-compatible GUI by Carlo Bellentani written in Java with source code available
- New function: EPD file reader. Loading an EPD position switches LiliaChess to chess-problem status (white border). The Restart button is available (as usual) as far as human and/or supporting engines are selected. Unlike the PGN window, the EPD selection window is modeless and the selected row is immediately uploaded to the chessboard. Some EPD test-suites are supplied within the installer.
- The PGN reader has been improved and tested with a lot of files. The implementation is intended to be specification-compliant with a certain degree of fault-tolerance (for instance, a castle notation with 0-digits instead of O-letters is accepted). Some "move_error" messages are now more clear.
- PGN reader : PGN games starting with a FEN-tagged position are now supported.
- PGN reader : annotated PGN games are now supported. Annotations are displayed in a separate window.
- The game commands (New, End, Restart) are now icon-buttons; the previous text strings are used as tool-tips.
- After the end of a continuation game (restart), pointing the mouse at one of the original moves in the move table restores the original title (players, result etc.).
- Fixed bug: a king with the adjacent square under check was allowed to castle.
- A move notation like "c7c8n" is recognized for promotion (as well as the standard "c7c8=n").
