by Tony Mokonen, Saturday, July 11, 2015, 14:34 @ Ron

I miss WBEC already :-( . I guess nobody had maintained the site since Leo's unfortunate passing, and that the hosting had expired.

I sincerely hope that Leo's site and tournament results and collection of engines were backed up and archived somewhere, as it would be a shame if such an important part of chess engine history were to disappear without a trace.

Hi Tony,

Leo was a fixture in computer chess. WBEC was my first web stop every day for many years. I miss Leo too.
