Update Information: September 20, 2010 (Updates)

by Ron @, Tuesday, September 21, 2010, 01:16

Engine Updates

Protector 1.3.5 (UCI)
2 revision(s) to the C++ source code today (current = rev. 361), no new build
- search change(s); added new batch testing files
http://sourceforge.net/projects/protector/

NOTE (Myrddin):
"A bug has been found in version 0.84 that appears to only affect local games
using the Winboard GUI and the Gaviota Tablebases. The bug causes Myrddin to
appear to claim a draw at the beginning of a game, which Winboard (correctly)
adjudicates as invalid and declares Myrddin's opponent as the winner. Many
thanks to Olivier DeVille for finding this. ... I will fix this version as
soon as I am certain of the extent of the problem. Many thanks for your
patience."

Chess News

Jon Dart 4500 opening positions
"I have made a somewhat more restrictive version of this - which does not count
quick draws (<25 moves) and requires White and Black both have at least 15% of
games that end in a win"
